Press the vault wheel and DATARMA backs up every photo, video and document it finds, on your computer and your phones. Its ring lights up as it goes. Back up to an external drive, this computer or DATARMA Cloud.
- Encrypted before it leaves. Each copy is encrypted on your device first, wherever it goes.
- Pause, resume or stop. Any time. An unfinished backup carries on right where it stopped, in the same backup set, without copying anything twice.
- Your phones too, no phone app needed. Plug an iPhone or Android phone into your Windows PC: photos and videos, and from Android also downloads, documents, WhatsApp media and your text messages.

Everything you back up lands in My data, sorted by the day it was taken, even after years of copying between devices. Group it by month, type or folder and find any photo in seconds.
- Clear out duplicates in a click. Find duplicate and forgotten files on your computer and in your backups. The extras go to a DATARMA folder first, so nothing is lost by mistake.
- Sort everything automatically. One tidy DATARMA folder, by type, year and month: exactly the files the list shows.
- Move to anywhere. Pick files and move them to a backup set, a vault or a folder.
- Open anything. Photos, videos, PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, right inside DATARMA.
Backup sets for every device.
Every backup is a backup set, saved with only what's new or changed and grouped by the device it came from: your desktop, your phone, your family's phones. Name them, open them, restore them.
- Move files any way you like. Between My data, backup sets and vaults, without copying anything twice.
- Find duplicates across sets, combine sets into one, or restore a whole set.
- Encrypted copies. Save encrypted copies to a folder or USB drive, to keep safe or hand to someone.
Vaults only you can open. Share what you choose.
Put what matters in vaults: private vaults in DATARMA Cloud, or local vaults on your own drive. Watch the vault door swing open as your files go in. They're encrypted with AES-256 on your device, so only you hold the key. Not even ENACCS can read them.
- Send a vault to anyone, by username. It appears in their app, secured so only they can open it. Or give them its vault number and code.
- You stay in charge. Choose who can add files, set a size limit or an expiry date, or change the code at any time.
- Password plus two-step verification, auto-lock, and a recovery key that brings everything back on a new computer.
- Ransomware care. Your backups are protected from other programs, and if files suddenly look scrambled DATARMA stops before they can replace your good copies.
Only you hold the key.
Most cloud services encrypt your files with their own key, so they can open them. DATARMA encrypts them with yours, before they ever leave your device. Here's what happens to a photo you back up.
Your device secures it
The photo is encrypted on your computer or phone with AES-256-GCM, using a key made from your password.
DATARMA Cloud stores it
We keep the encrypted file, its size and the upload date. Never its name, its contents or your key.
Your devices open it
Only your devices, with your password and two-step code, can turn it back into your photo.
If we can't read your files, neither can anyone who breaks in. That's the point.

Years of copying photos between phones, computers and drives leaves the same files in many places. DATARMA finds every duplicate and unwanted file and shows how much space each set takes, so you can win back storage on your computer and phone without losing a thing.
- DATARMA finds true duplicates by comparing what's inside each file, not just its name, so renamed copies are caught too.
- Sets are sorted by the space you'll free, biggest first. You choose the copy to keep.
- The extras move to a dated DATARMA Duplicates folder, with a note of where each one came from. The copy you keep is never touched.
- Empty the folder when you're sure, and the space is yours again. Changed your mind? Any file can go back where it was.

Your 5 GB of DATARMA Cloud works the way you want. Keep personal files in your own private vaults, where only you can open them, from any of your devices. Share photos and files securely over the internet with family, friends or clients in shared data vaults. Or do both. Nobody else can open them, not even ENACCS.
- Store: put files in your own private vault from My data with Move to. They're encrypted on your device and kept for you alone.
- Share: create a shared vault, give it a name, and add the files you want to share. Make up to 100: one for family photos, one for a client, one for a trip.
- Send it to a person: type their DATARMA username. The vault appears under Sent to me in their app, secured so that only they can open it.
- Or give people its vault number and code. Part of every code is made on your device and never reaches our servers.
- They open the vault in their DATARMA app. The files stay encrypted from end to end.
- You stay in charge: choose who can add files, set a size limit or an expiry date, or change the code at any time.
New computer? Everything comes back.
A sealed copy of your DATARMA keys and settings is kept with your backups. If you lose your computer, you won't lose your files: on a new one, or after a reinstall, it all returns.

What does DATARMA do?
DATARMA is one app that does four jobs. Backup: one press of the vault wheel copies your photos, videos and documents to an external drive, your computer or DATARMA Cloud. Organize: everything lands in My data, sorted by date, and DATARMA frees up space by clearing out duplicates and unwanted files. Save: every backup is a backup set, grouped by device. Secure: it keeps what matters in vaults, private, shared or local, encrypted so only you can open them, and you share only what you choose.
Does DATARMA free up storage space?
Yes. DATARMA finds duplicate and unwanted files on your computer and phone. You choose what to keep; the extras move to the DATARMA Duplicates or DATARMA Deleted folder, and the space is freed when you empty that folder. Until then, any file can go back.
Can ENACCS see my files?
No. Your files are encrypted on your own device before they are stored anywhere, with a key made from your password. We store encrypted data we cannot open, and we never see your files' names or contents.
What if I forget my password?
Use your recovery key. DATARMA gives you one when you set it up; write it down or print it. Because only you hold the key, if you lose both your password and your recovery key, nobody can open your files, including us.
Do I need DATARMA Cloud?
No. You can back up to your own computer or an external drive. DATARMA Cloud adds an off-site copy, so a fire, theft or failed drive at home doesn't take your backups with it. 5 GB is included in the plan.
Can I keep personal files in DATARMA Cloud without sharing them?
Yes. Your 5 GB is yours to use however you like: store personal files in your own private vaults, share files in shared vaults, or do both. Files in your private vaults can only be opened on your devices. Files in a shared vault can only be opened by the people you give its number and code.
What is a backup set?
Each time you back up, DATARMA saves the files that are new or changed into their own dated set. The Save tab lists your sets, grouped by device, so each backup stays separate: open one to see exactly what it holds, find duplicates across sets, combine sets into one, or restore a whole set.
Can I have more than one vault?
Yes. You can make up to 100 vaults, shared or private, in any mix. Each has its own name and number; a shared vault also has a code and its own settings: who can add files, a size limit, and when it closes. Send a vault straight to someone by their DATARMA username, or give them its number and code. Everything you store and share counts toward the same 5 GB, and you can add 5 GB more for $5 a month.
Do I need to install DATARMA on my phone?
No. The DATARMA app for Windows backs up iPhone and Android phones by USB cable, with nothing installed on the phone: photos and videos from both, plus downloads, documents and WhatsApp media from Android. Android text messages come straight from the phone too. The DATARMA phone apps, coming soon, add automatic backups to DATARMA Cloud without a cable and automatic contact backups. They're included in your subscription.
Which devices does DATARMA work on?
DATARMA is available now for Windows 10 and 11 in the Microsoft Store, and for Mac (macOS 13 or later, Apple chips and Intel) as a download from this page: use the Download from the Microsoft Store or Download for Mac button. iPhone and Android are coming, and one subscription covers up to 5 of your computers and phones at once.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Start it in the app: the 5 GB plan begins with a 7-day free trial that includes 1 GB of DATARMA Cloud. A card is needed to start, but you aren't charged if you cancel before it ends; after that your full 5 GB starts at $7 a month. Bigger plans start right away, without a trial.
Do the people I share with need to pay?
No. Someone you send a vault to can make a free account in the app ("I was sent a vault") and open and view it, with no card. To save or download the files, or to back up their own, they subscribe. You choose what people can do with each vault: view only, view and download, or also add files.
What happens if my subscription ends?
DATARMA becomes read-only. You can still open, view, unsecure and restore everything you already have, on your computer, your drives and in DATARMA Cloud, but nothing new is backed up, organized, secured or shared until you subscribe again. Your cloud backups are kept for 90 days after a plan ends so you can download them or pick up where you left off.
Will cleaning up duplicates delete my photos?
Never without a way back. The copy you keep is never touched, and the others move to a dated DATARMA Duplicates folder with a note of where each came from, so you can put any file back.
